We were delighted to support the founders and entrepreneurs of AwakenHub and the launch of AwakenAngels on Wednesday, February 1st 2023, at Bank of Ireland’s NYC Hub.
Founded in July 2020 via Zoom, AwakenHub has 2,300 subscribers from across the island of Ireland with 200 from our diaspora. The organization is structured as a Social Enterprise with a mission to remove barriers to investment, scale and success for women founders.
The founding team includes: Mary McKenna, Sinead Crowley, Mary Carty and Clare McGee who give of their time pro-bono and any revenue generated is redirected into meeting their mission and vision of parity for all founders.
AwakenHub produces monthly online/onsite events along with a private online community of women founders to secure investment and scale. It will act as a funnel for potential investment and are currently working with dozens of prospective pre-seed women founders to make them investor ready.

About AwakenAngels
- Is the first and only Irish Cross-Border women-led investor syndicate investing in women founded businesses.
- Will democratize the investor landscape by making it affordable, accessible and game-changing starting with a 2k investor ticket.
- New women investors will have the support of existing more seasoned investors. The hope is that they invest greater amounts within AwakenAngels or get involved in other existing schemes as their investing confidence and experience grows.
